Creamy Prosciutto Sauce
Ingredients
- 45 mL (3 tbsp) Butter
- 1 chopped, finely chopped Shallots
- 60 mL (¼ cup) chopped Prosciutto
- 125 mL (½ cup) chopped, rehydrated, Sun-dried Tomatoes
- 250 mL (1 cup) shredded, Canadian Aged Cheddar Whipping Cream
- 250 mL (1 cup), 33% Sage
- 30 mL (2 tbsp) finely chopped Salt
- To taste Cracked Black Pepper
- To taste, fresh ground Penne or other Short Pasta
Instructions
- In a large frying pan, melt butter over medium heat and cook shallot and prosciutto until golden.
- Add tomatoes, cream and cheese.
- Continue cooking 2 to 3 minutes.
- Salt and pepper, to taste. Add sage.
- Serve hot over cooked pasta.
