Ingredients
- 8 cups/2L Bread Crumbs
- 2 tsp/10ml sage
- 1 tsp/5ml poultry seasoning
- 1 tsp/5ml dried parsley
- 1 tsp/5ml salt
- 1/2 tsp/2ml pepper
- 1/2 cup/125ml melted butter
- 1/2 cup/125ml chopped onion
- 1/2 cup/125ml chopped celery
Instructions
- Combine bread crumbs and seasonings in a large bowl. In a small skillet, melt butter. Add onion and celery. Saute until onion is transparent.
- Pour over seasoned bread crumbs and toss well.
- To create new flavors add any combination of the following: giblets, raisins, chopped apple, chopped nuts or sliced mushrooms. You may moisten the bread crumbs with a little warm water or turkey (chicken) stock if preferred.
